Windows Repair & Software Troubleshooting
Windows errors, update problems, boot issues, login problems, and software conflicts.
Many Windows and software problems can be diagnosed and resolved remotely β no one needs to be at your computer. If your problem turns out to need physical access, we'll tell you before scheduling anything.
When Windows isn't working right
Windows problems show up in a lot of ways: error messages you've never seen before, updates that fail or get stuck, a computer that won't load past the logo, login screens that won't accept your password, or programs that suddenly won't open. Sometimes a single bad update is enough to make a working computer feel broken.
The good news is that most of these problems are software, not hardware. That means many of them can be diagnosed and fixed remotely β we connect to your computer over the internet, look at what's happening, and work through the cause with you. No one has to be at your machine.
Windows & software problems we help with
Windows error messages
Error dialogs, stop codes, application crashes, or Windows telling you something went wrong.
Windows update problems
Updates that fail, get stuck, install repeatedly, or leave the computer in a broken state afterward.
Windows not loading
Stuck on the loading screen, boot loops, or Windows starts but never reaches the desktop.
Configuration problems
Settings won't open, features behave incorrectly, or Windows reset/repair options fail.
Login problems
Can't sign in, stuck on the login screen, password not accepted, or profile won't load.
Software conflicts & programs not opening
Programs crash on launch, two programs conflict, or software won't install or run.
What you can check safely yourself
These are low-risk steps that often help β and that won't make a software problem worse. If you're not comfortable doing them, that's fine; just tell us what's happening and we'll take it from there.
- 1Restart the computer β a surprising number of Windows errors clear with a clean restart.
- 2Note the exact error message or stop code; it tells us a lot before we even look at the computer.
- 3Try booting into Safe Mode if Windows won't load normally. If Safe Mode works, the problem is often software or a driver, not hardware.
- 4Uninstall any program or update that was added immediately before the problem started.
- 5Run Windows Update manually and check whether a pending update is failing repeatedly.
